common, de la c-lo and the state of thingsPosted by on April 08, 1998 at 19:37:25:
I just antied up for the new Gangstarr and Goodie Mob. First of all, Gangstarr shit is virgin tight. Tighter than one of those little US gymnasts. Shjits tight all the way through. Haven't really given the Goodie MOb a good listen yet, but beautiful skin is some shit. But anyways, i was reading the CD and C-lo gaves props to God first and then to De La and Common. I know common was on De la's the bizness and de la was on common's shit and c-lo was on common's shit, and Ive seen Dela and Goodie on tour together, so I know theirs ties. But the shit would be so phat if their was a mugg's soul assassins type production with the greatest lyricists stressing their positivity. Think of it, a compilation uniting the talents of Goodie, De la, common, tribe, roots, Rass kass, prinse paul, maybe some underground shit from jurassic five or someone. KRS one would have to be their to. How about Gangstar. I know this wont happen, but imagine. We got all kinds of no limit and thug life, etc comps coming out, but im thinking strictly imagonative, creative, innovative, understated, underated, graded A, tasty like gravy lyricists just throwing their skill around at us. That would be some shit. Dont make it a double CD though, im sick of that shit. Peace, and keep it right. Pearl
